Activate your Pontius license to unlock all features. One license, three devices, lifetime access.

Getting a License

Pontius is a one-time purchase: $99, use it forever, on up to 3 devices. No subscriptions, no recurring fees.

Purchase from our pricing page, or use the buy command:

$ pontius buy

This opens the Stripe checkout in your browser.

After purchase, you'll receive your license key via email. It looks like: PONTIUS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Activating Your License

Activate with your license key:

$ pontius activate PONTIUS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Activating license...
License activated successfully!
License: PONTIUS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Email: [email protected]
Devices: 1/3
You're all set. Pontius is now fully unlocked.

AI Setup

If you're using an AI assistant, it can run this command for you. Just provide your license key when asked during pontius setup.

Checking License Status

View your current license status anytime:

$ pontius license
License: PONTIUS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

To free a slot: run 'pontius deactivate' on a device you no longer use.

Device Limit

Your license works on up to 3 devices simultaneously. This covers most setups: a work machine, a personal laptop, and maybe a home desktop.

Need more devices? Contact us — we're reasonable.

Moving to a New Device

If you're replacing a device, deactivate on the old one first:

$ pontius deactivate
Deactivating this device...
Device removed from license.
Devices now: 1/3
Note: You'll need to run 'pontius activate' again to use Pontius on this device.

Then activate on your new device with the same license key.

Transfer Your Setup Too

Use pontius sync export on your old device to create an encrypted backup, then pontius sync import on the new one. Your accounts, knowledge base, and settings come with you. See Sync.

Troubleshooting

Invalid License Key

If activation fails:

Check you copied the entire key including the PONTIUS- prefix
Make sure there are no extra spaces
Use the key from your purchase confirmation email

Device Limit Reached

If you've hit the 3-device limit:

Run pontius deactivate on a device you no longer use
Or contact support if you can't access old devices

Lost Your License Key?

Check your email for the purchase confirmation from Stripe. If you can't find it, contact support with your purchase email address.
