Connect your Yahoo Mail account using an app password. Takes about 2 minutes.
You need an App Password
Yahoo won't accept your regular password. You'll need two-step verification enabled to create an app password.
Create an App Password
First, enable two-step verification if you haven't already.
- Go to Yahoo Account Security
- Under "App passwords", click Generate app password
- Select "Other App", name it "Pontius"
- Copy the generated password
Add to Pontius
$ pontius- Select Add Account
- Provider:
yahoo - Enter your display name and Yahoo email
- Paste your app password (it won't display)
- Wait for "Account connected!"
Verify It Works
$ pontius listYou should see your recent emails. If you do, you're done.
